第一句的结构：there主语,is谓语,for连接原因状语从句.
第二句的结构：主句是逗号后面这句I was convinced that I should get engaged first.主语是I,谓语是was convinced ,that连接宾语从句.因为逗号不能连接两个句子,也就是说不能有两套主语和谓语,所以把there is改为there being这样的非谓语形式.明白了吗?
