从这一角度出发,本文首先对我国城市家庭养老的社会形势进行了分析,概括出当前城市老龄化、高龄化、空巢化的现实背景.利用《2010年全国老龄人口状况调查》数据,描述分析了我国城市家庭养老的年龄性别结构、婚姻状况、受教育程度、居住方式以及健康医疗状况等基本情况.然后,本文利用调查数据,分别讨论了当前城市家庭养老中三个主要内容：即经济状况、照料状况及精神慰藉状况的现状及影响因素.
在此基础上,本文总结归纳出城市家庭养老中存在的主要问题：老年家庭难以应对健康风险；家庭养老整体照料资源供给逐渐弱化、特殊困难群体等问题.最后,针对目前城市家庭养老存在的问题,提出了完善我国城市老年人保障制度、建立家庭养老照料资源网络、树立和谐社会的养老观念以及增强老年人家庭支持能力的政策建议.

The family caring model for the elderly is a traditional way in China which has long been a dominant method for taking care of the elderly. However, in view of the aggravation of population aging, continued intervention of the population policy and changes in the family structure, this traditional family care model for the elderly is confronted with the new traits of “advanced age”, “empty home” and “miniaturized family”; these traits are posing a serious challenge and this challenge is particularly prominent in the urban areas. In order to find a solution to the problems of family taking care of the aged in China’s urban regions, the important issues are to look for ways of identifying the characteristics of the present situation, objectively analyzing the major factors currently influencing the urban family care for the elderly, summing up these existing problems and making improvements on them.

Basing on this perspective, this paper firstly conducts an analysis on the social condition of family care for the elderly in cities of China and generalizes the realistic background of the present cities’ aging, advanced aging and empty home phenomenon. Then, by using the data from “The National Survey of the Aging Population 2010”, it describes and analyzes the basic situations of China cities’ family care for the elderly in terms of age and gender structures, marital status, level of education, resident manner, health and medical status. By applying the survey data, this paper then discusses the present situation and the influencing factors of the three major contents in the issue of the present cities’ family care for the elderly: i.e. financial status, care attended situation and spiritual comfort condition.

On this basis,this paper summarizes the major problems existing in the cities’ family care for the elderly, namely, the difficulty of aged families to deal with health risks, the gradual weakening of the overall care resources for the aged in the families and the special group in straitened circumstances. Finally, in view of these existing problems, this paper presents some policy proposals, such as the improvement on China’s insurance system for the cities’ aged, setting up of care attended resources network for family elderly, establishment of the endowment concept of a harmonious society and strengthening of the support capability of the aged families.
