家将、侍女皆感奇怪,待其醒来,问其缘故.老聃答道:“人生于世,有情有智.有情,故人伦谐和而相温相暖;有智,故明理通达而理事不乱.情者,智之附也;智者,情之主也.以情通智,则人昏庸而事颠倒;以智统情,则人聪慧而事合度.母亲生聃,恩重如山.今母辞聃而去,聃之情难断.情难断,人之常情也.难断而不以智统,则乱矣,故悲而不欲生.今聃端坐而沉思,忽然智来,以智统情,故情可节制而事可调理也.情得以制,事得以理,于是腹中饥而欲食,体滋倦而欲睡.”
家将问道:“智何以统情?”
“人之生,皆由无而至有也;由无至有,必由有而返无也.无聃之母及聃之时,无母子之情也;有聃之母及聃,始有母子之情也;母去聃留,母已无情而子独有情也;母聃皆无之时,则于情亦无也.人情未有之时与人情返无之后不亦无别乎?无别而沉溺於情、悲不欲生,不亦愚乎?故骨肉之情难断矣,人皆如此,合于情也;难断而不制,则背自然之理也.背自然之理则愚矣!聃思至此,故食欲损而睡可眠矣.”众人闻之,心皆豁然旷达.

All the servants felt he was strange.Till he waked up,they asked him why.Ran answered' human who lives in the world,has feelings and intellegence.Because they have feelings,so we have good relationships with each other,and warming each other,also because we have intellegence,so we can understand problems and solve them properly.The one who has love to others,also has intellegence.The one who is intellegent,is held by feelings too.If you use feelings to solve any problems.,then you will be fatuous and cannon solve then well,but if you use intellegence to control your feelings,then you will be smart and solve things properly.
My mom gave birth to me,favour weightly as a mountain..Now she is dead,I still miss her a lot.Missing somebody who is dead,is reasonable.But if you let your feeling grow,not using your mind to control it,then you will do other things badly and wrong.You might even feeling so sad that you want to suicide.Now I sit down and ponder,suddenly I caught my smartness,and I try to use my mind to control my feelings,so I learned to control my sadness and the problems can be solved.I have controlled my feelings,and solved problems,then I felt hungry,and want to eat something.I felt tired,and want to go to sleep.
The servants asked me ‘ How do you control your feelings use your mind?’
‘In people’s life,you always start from having nothing,to have something.From nothing to something,it must vice versa one day.Before my mother and I was a live,there is no love between us.When my mom and I was a live,we love each other.Now my mum is gone,and I’m still a live,her love to me is gone to,but I still love her.When I’m dead,my love to my mom is gone too.Before both of us a live,there is no love between us,after both of us are dead,there is no love between us again.Isn’t that the same thing?Because it’s the same thing,there is no need to sink in the pains of loosing her,and trying to suicide,otherwise,isn’t that stupid?It’s hard to leave your parents,it’s reasonable,but if you don’t control this sad feeling,then it’s unreasonable.If you don’t obey the nature,then you are stupid.When I think to this level,I could eat and drink and sleep properly.
