Welcome to Xu Beihong Art Museum. I'm Li Hua, your guide at the museum. Now I'd like to introduce the famous Chinese painter, Xu Beihong,to you. Xu Beihong was born in Yixing, Jiangsu Province in 1895 and died of heart disease in 1953. Xu Beihong was the founder of the Chinese modern art, and one of the outstanding painters in China. He mixed the styles of the western painting with the sytles of the Chinese painting. He was good at paintings, especially painting horses, to express the enthusiasm of the Chinese people and the free spirit of the painting.
