The world is divided into two main parts.The difference is that one part is rich and the other poor.In the poor part,a lot of people never get enough to eat.In the rich part,a lot of people eat too much.In one part,many children starve,and in the other,a lot of people get fatter and fatter,and have to go on diets or do special exercises in order to lose weight.
People in rich countries do not realize the enormous differences between them and those in poor countries.Although a lot of the wold'snatural resources such as oil come from poor countries,a person in a rich country is probably using sixty times as much of these resources as one in a poor country in Asia or Africa.It is rich countries that decide what kind of prices they are ready to pay for these natural reasources.And the prices rich countries set on their own exports have continued to rise.So they are getting richer and richer,and poor countries poorer and poorer.
