正确答案是C,那请问A有啥错呢?

第一题：A选项中的as to指的是至于,说到.按照上下文的话意思应该是“对于这个内容准备好了”,那么应该使用be prepared for the material (be prepared for固定搭配),这里属于搭配错误.E也是这个问题.
第二题：by作介词,后面必须跟名词性结构.而“the protagonist lies”不是名词性结构,所以语法上有大错.
