Last week, my best friend Devin called in sick. Our teacher told us that he was going to be on a sick leave for a while because of the heart attack. I went to the hospital and visited him in the first day. He said to me that he would have to go into a surgery next week. Devin's family is not wealthy at all. Her mom was crying and they were trying to borrow money from their relatives and friends. I told him he would be fine but I cried after I left. The next morning before the class, I gave a short speech to my classmates about Devin's sickness and what he was going to go through. I asked them if they would like to donate to help him and his family out. The third day I collected almost half of the money for the surgery. The surgery was successful and Devin was recovered soon. Yesterday his mom and him came to the class and thank us for everything we did. It is nice to have him in class now. This experience means a lot to all of us as well.
