我看了几个版本的翻译,有的说再看看北方,有的说再看看南方.这里的north有没有什么特殊含义?
后半句都翻译成“忍受屈辱我们把它叫做自尊 ”
字面意思是不是吞下眼泪?这里有没有抬起头不让眼泪流下来的意思?

north用在这里应该是为了和上面east,West之类的呼应,表示歌手感觉此时孤立无援,身边无人,只能寄希望于自己.

后半句直译为：swallow that pill that they call pride 吞下那颗叫做骄傲的药丸.
