My Summer Visit to China
This summer,I traveled to Beijing,China to see the Olympics.The event was a truly spectacular sight,and the beauty of the city just as amazing.It was one of the best traveling experiences I've ever had.
The Olympic Games were simply marvelous to behold up close.I was lucky enough to have obtained several tickets to Olympics games,one to my favorite sport of basketball.The basketball match took place between China and Germany,followed by the US against Spain.The basketball arena was an architectural wonder,as is the rest of Beijing.It featured a wide open plaza,decorated with soaring statues of basketball players and the ever present Beijing Olympics symbol.People of all nationalities and ages gathered in the plaza,celebrating and emanating the spirit of their countries.The Arena was a giant even among skyscrapers.Its perimeter was built to resemble a wooden scroll,which lit up and changed colors at night.The interior was circular,dotted with entrances into the seating area and souvenir shops.The walls were painted with bright colors in shapes of the Olympic symbol.Inside the circular walls was the actual court where the most famous basketball players' world-wide would play.The games began with the national anthems of both sides,as the large crowd arose in respect.The matches were fierce,each side struggling for victory.The players were all marvelous,and I especially enjoyed the performance by Team USA.The night became the highlight of my trip
