几个英语词组的问题on one's own 和 in one's own right 前者是独立地,后者是根据自己的能力

几个英语词组的问题
on one's own 和 in one's own right 前者是独立地,后者是根据自己的能力或者合法权利,但是我们老师举得例句的用法有种都是独立地 的意思,有点混淆了
characteristic 和 character 两个都是品格个性,前者老师说是指某物的任何方面,之代表性的侧面,后者指成熟的个性,其实character我蛮能理解啦.但是另外个真的没看懂什么意思诶
compose 和 constitute 怎么感觉都是一个意思一个用法…… 没有分别的么?

而characteristic是形容词的.特有的,表示特性的,典型的.虽然也有名词的意思,但是characteristic是可数名词,但是character不可数
